All of our Whisky Tasting events to date have been complete sell outs!  Most recent ones have included a 'Tour of Scotland' tasting hosted by Gordon & MacPhail, Springbank Distillery of Campbeltown and Tomatin, a Highland distillery mentioned below.

THURSDAY, 16th June: 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Alistair Mutch of Tomatin Distillery will be joining us to present some fantastic blended and single malt whiskies from the range produced by this Highland distillery.  We feel pretty sure there will be something to please everyone!

Venue: Taking place in our shop at 106 Castle Street.

Tickets: £25 (must be purchased in advance - very limited availability)

Our whisky tastings are proving to be extremely popular (previous ones have both SOLD OUT well in advance).  These are very relaxed and enjoyable evenings, with light refreshments served when the last dram is poured. The question generally being asked at the end of the evening is, "When is the next tasting?" 

Tip of the month

This month's recommendation has been flown in all the way from Australia: [Majella, Sparkling Shiraz].

Might seem a little toppy at £19.99, but worth every penny!

You can buy some much cheaper sparkling reds, but our view is, 'if you are going to try something so different, you might as well try the best'!

Open House Saturdays

Try before you buy! Very informal approach, but we have a couple of bottles open every Saturday, between 12 noon and 3pm. Why not join us?

New Beaujolais

It will be arriving in November! This year's production of this fresh, convivial wine will be on our shelves (but not for long...).
